The Client

Zak O'Sullivan is a 16-year-old racing driver from Gloucestershire with ambitions of reaching Formula One. He is part of an elite crop of drivers considered to be the very best of current British racing talent after becoming the youngest driver ever to be selected for the BRDC SuperStars programme.

The Challenge

To gain regular media coverage celebrating Zak’s achievements in the motorsport press, on broadcast media and in regional press.

The Results

Newsline has worked with Zak O’Sullivan since the start of 2020 when he launched his career in single-seaters, graduating to British F4 after becoming the youngest-ever winner of the Ginetta Junior Rookie Cup in 2019.

Racing for the Carlin team, which has helped Formula One world champions Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg start out on the racing ladder, Zak finished runner-up in F4 after a brilliant season and was only denied the title in controversial circumstances at the final round at Brands Hatch.

Newsline produced content from every race weekend which were covered by hugely-respected industry titles Autosport and Motorsport News, local titles in Gloucestershire and BBC Radio Gloucestershire, who carried out multiple interviews with Zak across the season.

We also maintained Zak’s website and designed an eNewsletter for sending to his sponsors after each race weekend.

Heading into 2021, Zak is graduating to the BRDC British F3 Championship with the aim of progressing to the FIA Formula 3 Championship, which takes place on Formula One weekends in front of a global audience. We’re extremely excited to be supporting one of the brightest young talents in British motorsport for another season.
