Linnaeus is one of the fastest-growing and most ambitious veterinary groups in the UK and is owned by global giant, Mars Petcare. Thanks to a hugely-effective PR campaign delivered by Newsline, it has enjoyed vast amounts of media coverage and social media reach for its brands.

The Results

Linnaeus is part of the Mars family of businesses and comprises more than 4,000 employees and some of the country’s finest specialists, veterinary clinicians and nursing teams.

Newsline is responsible for the PR and social media strategy and implementation for 14 Linnaeus referral hospitals around the country, plus its corporate PR. We produce tailor-made content relevant to both consumer and trade publications and have delivered spectacular results over an extended period of time.

The volume of coverage we produce for this client continues to grow each month. In April we secured more than 200 pieces of coverage in several national, regional and trade publications generating well over a billion online readers.

We are also involved in asset and design creation for Linnaeus’ social media which benefits from excellent community management and substantial audience growth. Our successful social media strategies are organically adding thousands of new users to the group’s social media pages every year, with huge increases in engagement and reach.

Over the last five years, we have provided professional videography and photography services, designed digital and print newsletters and provided real-time crisis management services.

We also launched Paragon Veterinary Referrals, a £5 million vet centre in Yorkshire, securing a partnership with Wakefield Trinity RLFC, whose players starred in a promotional video we commissioned and filmed.
